Volunteers, response vehicles, and command assets available to local law enforcement, fire, EMS, and public health when response is overwhelmed.
Christian County Emergency Management is responsible for coordinating and collaborating in Christian County to promote emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts. We work in partnership with local law enforcement, fire departments, public health, EMS, and governmental bodies. Whenever local response is overwhelmed or in need of resources, we would be happy to work with you. Christian County Emergency Management hosts a pool of volunteers with a wide variety of skills, capabilities, and backgrounds. Volunteers are trained in the 20-hour CERT curriculum which includes classes in disaster psychology, fire suppression and prevention, basic disaster medical, light search and rescue, basic ICS structure, and terrorism prevention.

This mass notification system allows us to contact some residents to warn about boil orders, missing persons, road closures, etc.
